A football club from the best players of the teams participating in the Republic's championship is being created in Abkhazia. It will consist of up to 27 football players, the Chairman of the State Committee on Youth and Sports Raphael Ampar said.
A former Sukhum "Dynamo" player, the coach of Gudauta "Ritsa" nowadays Dzhuma Kvaratshelia is appointed head coach of this club. His former clubmate, the head coach of Sukhum "Nart" Said Tarba will assist him. The team will have the first practice session from January 20 till January 25, it will be trained to participate in the second league of the Championship of Russia. Dzhuma Kvaratshelia is certain that the team will represent Abkhazia worthily. "We've been stewing in our own juice for the last 18 years, and our football players need a stimulus", he believes.
According to Raphael Ampar, there is a preliminary consent of the Russian Football Union for participation in the second League of the Russia's Championship.
It is necessary to train the team, to approve the budget for the team to participate in the Champioship of Russia.
The budget of a football club for one football season amounts from 40 to 50 million rbl, Raphael Ampar said. Those are means for participation in the championship, salary, transport expenses for 16 away matches, payment for refereeing, holding of training sessions.
Five national teams of Abkhazia are to be created in 2010: a U-15 team, a U-17 team, a U-21 team, the national team (from 16 to 35), a veteran team.
"They are created for the purpose of participating in different All-Russia and international competitions, unofficially for the time being, since for official participation in the international tournaments UEFA and FIFA must admit the Football Federation of Abkhazia officially. Certain work in this direction is underway", R. Ampar said. |
