Further involvement of the UN in the process of settlement of the Abkhaz-Georgian conflict will be seriously examined, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Sergei Shamba stated at the ongoing meeting of the heads of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Transnistria and South Osetia in Sukhum.
"This organization, again refusing the participation of the Abkhaz side in the meeting of UN Security Council, has harshly violated the basic principles of conflict settlement", said S. Shamba.
"Since our conflict is Abkhaz-Georgian, those who seek to contribute to settlement should listen to both sides. The UN disregards our rights", — noted the Foreign Minister of Abkhazia.
In this regard, at today’s meeting of the heads of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Transnistria and South Osetia, as well as at the upcoming summit, the issue of efficiency of the international mediation in the settlement of conflicts is one of the principal.
